About Us

Since starting we’ve been all about bringing joy back to beer. Getting the best we can from the highest quality ingredients.

Taking beer seriously, but not ourselves.

We’re an independent brewery based in the belly of Manchester (under Piccadilly Station) that’s always focused on brewing beers we know people love: hoppy IPAs, clean lagers, and easy-drinking pales. Playing with the boundaries of our craft to bring the freshest, most exciting, and consistently excellent beers we can.

How It Started

Founded in 2020 and releasing our first beers in February 2022, Sureshot began as a chance meeting between director/founders James Campbell & Michael Forde at IMBC. From there an ambition grew to create a brewery that celebrated beer through enjoying it. Many will know James already, having been instrumental in the development of new wave British brewing - a serial head brewer at some of Manchester’s most respected independent breweries, and pioneer of new world styles and hops to the UK. Joined by a small team of industry vets the pair have grown from a team of 2 to 15 in the space of a couple of years.

How It's Going

Now, after only a little over 2 years, we’ve released over 160 different beers across thousands of hectolitres. Established favourite brands, like Milson and Small Man's Wetsuit. Released charity and fundraising beers in partnership with causes from mental health to female-led journalism. Opened an adjacent taproom. Begun export to much of Europe and as far afield as Japan and Thailand. Collaborated with some of the UK, Europe, and the USA's top breweries. Attended primo beer festivals. Expanded the brewhouse. Been selected trialists of experimental and new hops, and released UK-firsts through these partnerships.

Bringing joy to beer through high-quality ingredients, craft, and light-hearted reflection. We believe beer is something that’s meant to be enjoyed, not defined.

With a wealth of experience, passion, and the support of the craft community we hope to keep growing our reputation for uncompromised and consistent quality. Always with enjoyment, a knowing smile, and welcome to all.
